Thermostats 145206182 regulate the temperature of the engine’s cooling system, opening or closing to allow the coolant to circulate through the engine. Helping to ensure the engine warms up quickly on start up and then providing that the engine temperature stays stable. Thermostats start to open at the rated temperature and should be fully open 15 to 20 degrees F above this temperature.
