USA & Canada Delivery
Aurora Generators has been shipping generators across Canada and the Continental USA since 2005. We only use reliable freight carriers like FedEx Freight, which offers fast and dependable service at affordable rates. We offer dock-to-dock, business, and residential home delivery with power tailgate service for easy unloading.
Generator Packaging
Each generator is thoroughly packaged and secured in a wooden crate to ensure safety and ease of transportation and to prevent any damage during transit. We provide tracking information and insurance coverage for all shipments. If you’re expecting a delivery to your residential address, the freight carrier will notify you directly to confirm the delivery. If you are a business or commercial customer, you may request a “notify to consignee” service and schedule an exact day of delivery.
All fluids have been removed from generators after factory testing and before shipping. This is to avoid any possible claims of hazardous materials should there be an accident or spill.
Cross-Border Shipping
Rest assured that you do not need to worry about customs and brokerage fees as Aurora has covered you. You don’t need to fill out any additional paperwork as well. The shipping charges you were quoted and invoiced for at purchase are the only ones you must pay.
Change Of Address
If you need to modify the delivery method or shipping address post-purchase, additional charges may apply for added services or route changes.
Residential Delivery
Residential delivery refers to the transportation of goods directly to a customer’s home or a business that operates from a residential location. Carriers often switch to smaller trucks equipped with a lift to access smaller residential streets, where larger trucks may not be able to reach. Typically, the freight is unloaded from the back of the truck to the ground, and no further assistance is provided beyond that point.
Limited Access Locations In Freight Shipping
A limited access location may be any commercial or non-commercial site where pick up or delivery is restricted for one or more of the following reasons:
- the location is not open to the general public during business hours;
- the pick-up/delivery requires setting up an appointment;
- the location has gates or security inspections;
- the location doesn’t have access to a loading dock or platform;
- the location cannot accommodate a 53’ truck.
The term ‘Limited Access’ includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Airports
- Bars
- Camps
- Carnivals
- Casinos
- Cemeteries
- Churches/Mosques/Synagogues/Temples
- Colleges/Universities
- Constructions Sites
- Convents
- Fairs
- Farms
- Golf Courses
- Hotels/Motels/Resorts
- Military Base/Installations
- Mine Sites
- Malls
- Medical/Urgent care sites without a dock
- Nuclear Power Plants
- Night Clubs
- Parks
- Prisons
- Ranches
- Restaurants
- Schools
- Storage Units
Please note that this list is not final, and there could be exceptions.
If your pick-up/delivery location is a limited access location, you need to indicate that before delivery as the carrier may hold delivery until additional fees are paid for additional services such as waiting times or special clearances.
Customer Pickups
Customers can arrange their shipping or pick up their orders directly from us. Any additional parts or accessories purchased separately, including warranty items, will be insured and tracked by an insured common mail carrier or courier. If you’re outside North America and want to ship generators, you can opt for a North American International freight forwarder who will arrange the exported shipment to your country. International Chamber Of Commerce (ICC)
It should be noted that any mention of trade terms such as EXW or FCA refers to the relevant term of Incoterms published by the International Chamber of Commerce. All merchandise is sold under the trade term EXW, which stands for Ex Works Aurora Generators Inc. This is in accordance with the rules set by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Insurance
All generators are palatalized wooden crates for easy transportation, safety and damage-free. First-line residential freight carriers ship generators during regular business hours, Mon-Fri. Parts, accessories or warranty items are shipped by insured common mail or courier with tracking.
The carrier’s standard cargo insurance may not cover the full retail value of your purchase. However, Aurora Generators purchases additional coverage on the customer’s behalf free of charge. In the event of a claim, you may be the one who is directly compensated for damages and may need to settle with the carrier directly.
Transit Time
An average shipment will move about 500 miles / 800kms per business day, plus a day for pick up and a day for delivery. Most shipments are received within 3 -10 business days.
Freight Tracking
Aurora will provide tracking information for the freight carrier after pickup from our facility. This process is automatic and sent to you via e-mail.
Apple AirTag Freight Tracking Option
At Aurora Generators, we understand the importance of transparency and control regarding shipping. To enhance your experience, we offer the option to purchase an Apple AirTag for freight tracking purposes.
How It Works:
For a fee of $50.00, inclusive of the AirTag and setup, customers can opt to utilize this technology to track their shipments. Upon setup completion, access to the AirTag will be shared with the customer.
Considerations:
While the Apple AirTag is a sophisticated tracking device, its singular strength may only sometimes provide pinpoint accuracy in all scenarios. Factors such as signal interference or varying environmental conditions can impact its performance.
Ownership and Versatility:
After purchase, the customer retains full ownership of the AirTag and gains the flexibility to repurpose it for other applications beyond freight tracking.
Enhanced Visibility, Limited Guarantee:
Though the AirTag can significantly enhance visibility into the location of your shipment, it’s important to note that its performance may vary based on external factors. Thus, while it offers an added tracking layer, we cannot always guarantee absolute accuracy.
